The story about us

The first time whe came in contact with the Norwegian Forest Cat was when we were looking for a black female cat. We didn't have the intention of buying a cat with a pedigree, but when I saw Romy I fell in love. Whe didn't knew that with buying a norwegian we get infected with the virus of norwegian forest cats. Once you have a norwegian you see the beauty of these cats...there temper is so special, they are very playful till high age, they love to be near you and are so friendly for visitors....

After Romy came in our house we decided that we must search for a playmate as our two "regular" cats weren't that playfull at least not enough :) during our search we found our second Norwegian..Lily...she was and is such  a beautifull female. She was only 9 days older than our Romy but was already 5 months old...when we came home after a visite at her breeder we decided that she is the one that we wanted...so a few weeks later she came to live with us. Romy and Lily are from the first day best friends and we couldn't have made a better choice but to let these 2 beauty's in our home and our life.

We also went to a few shows with both ladies, just for fun. but the ladies did it so good that we decided that we maybe wanted to breed with them. So we first were looking for a cattery name. Our first choice was accepted bij the FIFE on 24 november 2008. Then we started the search for a male, because that can take a while..find the right male for one for our ladies.

but when we were searching for a male, my eye fell on a really georgious male who was already 7 month's old. When we went to take a look at his father (for a mating) we really fell in love with his son Julius. After a few days of thinking of it. whe decided to go for it and a few weeks later Julius came to live with us.

In Januari 2oo9 Julius was implanted with the suprelorin implant because he was showing a lot of interest already in our ladies and they were too young to let him go his way.

so a few months passed and in the meanwhile we got in touch with the breeder who has the brother of our Julius. We were very curious how he was so we went to take a look...thel female...when we saw Bailey for the first time she was just 3 weeks old but whe instant fell in love with her. When she was 13 weeks she came to live with us.

In the meanwhile we were looking for a white NFO one of our favorite colours. We were almost one year searching for a beautiful white female and we thought that we have to wait a few years. But then we got a very nice email from a breeder that we could have a white female from her litter....she was the only white female but what happened with our other cats happend this time....we did fell in love (again) it was a long time waiting because we must first waited the results of the BEAR  test if she was hearing at both ears. But YES!! she was hearing :) now we needed to wait a couple of weeks before she was old enough to move but finally when she was 14 weeks old she came to live with us.

The goal we have in mind is to breed healthy, strong builded, lovely and beautiful norwegians with the real NFO look.

All of our cats will be tested on FIV, FELV, GSD IV, Bloodtype and when they are old enough on HCM and PKD.

All our females will be at least 1,5 years of age when they will be mated for the first time and only when they are in good health.
